PRINCIPLE 8 BUSINESSES SHOULD PROMOTE INCLUSIVE GROWTH AND EQUITABLE DEVELOPMENT
The Company’s Social Policy covers engagement in Society, Human Rights, Child and Forced Labor, Freedom of
Engagement, and Health and Safety
The policy is drawn principally on six sources:
a. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights
b. The UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights
c. The International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at work
d. The OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises
e. The Global Sullivan Principles and
f. The Social Accountability 8000 (SA 8000) standard
The Company has its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy and framework for action along with clear focal
areas against which community engagement projects are taken up predominantly in and around its factory locations.
The details of beneficiaries of CSR Projects are given in response to clause 6 of Leadership indicators.
